Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name! (Psalm 103)
For what do you bless the Lord this holiday? And please don't say "Black Friday"!
Add a comment under anonymous telling us what you are especially grateful for this year.
I'll start: For the Lord's breathtaking love for me, for good authors that challenge me, for earthly comforts and good friends, for fellowship and teaching at a remarkable church, and for my luscious family.
Your turn.
Jean
I am blessed beyond belief with God's sovereignty and how He comforted, strengthened and grew me this past year. He is my strong tower to which I find rest, protection and encouragement.

I am thankful for my wonderful and caring husband and father of our children. I am also thankful for the encouraging example that the women of New Hope are to me. I love you all!
ReplyDeleteI am so grateful to know that my God has everything under control even when I wonder what is going on. I'm so thankful for the family, church family, and friends He has given me. I'm also thankful for the many books, sermons, and radio programs available to challenge and encourage me, as well as for the material provisions that help make my life pleasant.
ReplyDeleteI am very thankful for Jesus, who paid for all of my sin over 2000 years ago. He knew I would wrong him, deny him, ignore him, and He chose to die for me. When I cannot forgive my "neighbor" as Jesus commands us to do, or when I cannot forgive myself, God gently reminds me that He forgave me.
ReplyDeleteI am also thankful for a day off! Brian and I are not going anywhere; just staying home and resting from a very busy month!

I am thankful for the many things God has put in myself to remind me of Him. Last night I was swimming and it popped into my head that as God created water and earth and air to all serve different purposes, He created us for that end as well! Jean said it well on Sunday that when the body of Christ functions together, it is a marvelous thing!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is overflowing with thanksgiving for God's wonderful provision in our lives. And thankful that even when I doubt that God will "come through" that He wonderfully continues to teach me and guide me. So thankful for my husband and for my little ones!
