The reason I used it is this: Caterpillars are like promises--given the right conditions, they become something beautiful and amazing.
Now here's a response question for all of you: What promises of God have you found amazing in your own life?
Please use your name when responding so we can get to know one another better.
God's promise of provision. He has given me a job I love and want to do for the rest of my life (He provided it my freshman year of college!). How amazing!

Two amazing promises come to my mind immediately, the ones I continually cling to. I think of the line from a song that says "When Satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within." When that happens to me, the promise of Psalm 103:12 is amazing--"As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us" (Psalm 103:12). The other promise that often comes to my mind is that He promises to always, always be with me. Heb. 13:5 is one place where that is clearly stated.

The Hebrews 13:5 is the one I was going to share as well. I learned it 30-some years ago as a new believer, and it has held true all these years. It amazed me then, and still amazes me today. "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Amen!

I, too, return again and again to "I will never leave you or forsake you." God is faithful! Because God the Son was forsaken on the Cross when He became sin for us (compelling God the Father to turn His face away), I will never be forsaken.
